Eye Makeup.

This eye makeup looks so tedious la. Never know it's so so many many stepsss.

Sld I try?

Looks kinda nice right?

Maybe not cos didn't really see ppl on the streets do this. haha..

But I saw a few girls in my school do this makeup n one particular girl kinda scares me la...

I was like in the lift when the doors open and this girl with super black deep set eye makeup was waiting for the life outside and when the doors open, Wooh...I got a shock!

So please, don't do this in school! Never.

Girls intending to do this please imagine this scenario: U are attending a lecture (in a dim air con lecture hall) and while you focus on the lecture, u unwittingly stares at the lecturer. Den he suddenly show u a A4 size list of equation and said u hv to memorise them. Den u unwittingly winced and frowned and stares angrily at the lecturer. Den the lecturer suay suay at this moment look at the audiences and saw ur face! He really will be shocked la!

Please spare a though for the lecturers and fellow students...lol.

Words of encouragement.

For friends who started school today like me, this is for u:

There are no secrets to success: Don't waste time looking for them. Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty for those for whom you work, and persistence.

--Colin Powell, U.S. Secretary of State

So work hard for this semester and reap results at the end:) All the best!

Moe Talk @ Alley Bar @ Peranakan Place

Ytd went Moe Talk with Xx @ Alley Bar @ Peranakan Place.
Happily, the bar is very nice.
Went in at 4pm under bright sunlight.
Feels like night time inside.
Ambience is cosy & nice ~ save electricity too.
Sadly, only orange juice & soda No alcoholic drinks!
Super sensible though.
Imagine a bunch of drunk teachers inside.
Dunnoe will say wad and spoil image.
Moe really invest so much on marketing, making everything looks & feels so glam.
Even the paper bag distributed below looks trendy.
The words below is bling bling one lei.
I saw Mr Siva inside the paper bag!

He's my sec sch teacher from Canberra sec!
I didn't know he's previously a lawyer!
No wonder he spoke so eloquently during classes.
He give me my first A in social studies lor!
So proud of him! He's the man!

Now, let me talk abt the moe talk.
Two teachers on Teacher Award once but now teaching at SJC & SAJC share with us their experience.
They r not very spontaneous.
So I ask qns.
I asked about a teacher's daily lives.
They say, morning assembly den plan lesson den carry out lessons den cca den events den activities den mark assignments.
wao! I don't dare comment.
Den i ask if there's any student that left any impact.
Both say yes.
One say there's this student in jc1 who never listens in class den one day go ask teacher,"U think I'm useless?" "No." says teacher.
Den she didn't make it to jc 2.
den work hard harder hardest den make it to uni.
Den got come back visit & thank teacher.
Wao!
a teacher's words are words of gold!
I hope there's a teacher like her who said this to me personally!
Imagine what I can do lor.
Den the male teacher says he went Thailand cip during dec holiday.
Realised that actually can know students more & see them grow & mature.
Hm...I know what he meant.
During my tuition right, when I see that they slowly improve & understand wad u saying & actually listens to u so intently while looking into your eyes and says,"Really?" when u teach them something new right, I really felt I'm influencing them slowly.
Both r econs teachers.

There's this guy among us,
he graduated from Ntu one year from econs le.
Jobless.
I scare end up like him lo!
he's Terrance-like.
looks lethargic, feels lethargic, no smiles, soft-spoken, looks boring, feels boring.
But y?
Cos jobless?

So conclusion: Do I want to sign up Teacher Award?
My dad wants me.
But I nt so enthu lei...
So much fringes & benefits...
but my heart says, " but. but.but..."

Anyway, the reason y we r late half an hour to moe talk is cos b4 this,
I accompany Xx for a showdown at California Fitness.
She says the ppl calls eveyrday for a week to rush payment when payment is not due!
First person talk to us.
Can't settle.
2nd came.
Talk until from smiles to frustrated tone.
Referred to Customer Service Manager.
Argue until Manager suggest Xx talks to lawyer!
Scary.
I haven spoke anything until now la...cos I really dunnoe what's the confusion.
Now I see the point le.
Cos the 2nd person trying to close deal so she tells Xx a super simplified version of the payment timings.
Simplified until like makes the gym package feels like such a great deal.
Turned out not really la...
but that's how the industry works ma.
So kinda she's more or less at some fault lo.
Amore also.
Den I started peace making when I heard "speak to Lawyer"
Where got $$ right.
I dunnoe where my peace making skills come from lor.
I manage to talk both sides to peace and bring smiles back to the manager lor.
But poor Emily, manager promise to talk to the GM and give her disciplinary actions!
I heard she's a marketing graduate!
My beautician also double major in marketing & management!
Why all end up as sales associate?
yyy?

When we go out the place, I even 'tao' them.
They say 'thank you' den I didn't even turn back to acknowledge.
lol.
Ok, post too long le...bb
Lastly, Xx, u really a debating pro lo...haha

Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea

Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea.

This movie's story line is very simple but sweet.
Suitable for people both big or small.
It's main message is that if humans are willing to embrace and love the sea then the world will be at peace! Means we should not pollute the sea by throwing trash.
But if ppl got hong kong leg & step into the water dunnoe is considered pollution not...hahaha.
Ponyo so cute ~ she is actually a little human girl! But her evil father changed her DNA to become a goldfish with a face!
I'm glad this movie is understandable.
But I think I still prefer those can stretch my imagination more.
Like 宫崎骏's Howl’s Moving Castle and Spirited Away.
These I haven watch but will find time for it since yx recommended it :)

Hk cafe are sprouting everywhere.

If you realised, Hk cafe are sprouting everywhere in Singapore. Knock yourself on the head if u haven eaten at one yet...just joking but if u think u deserve it den just go ahead.

I realised one painfully common characteristics - the food they sell are really simple hawker fare mostly. But the price are erm, knida double the normal price. Like I can buy two plate of fried rice at Kopitiam for one plate at these cafes. But there are just so popular, like some kind of hungry people magnets. Why yy? Is it the atmosphere? Is it the novelty? Is it like bubble tea?

Wongkok Char Chan Teng at Bugis Junction. It was damn jam pack. Got to queue 5 mins! But is lunch time so understandable. This one considered cheaper than others le. So like one fried rice in kopitiam can buy one & a half plate here.
The milk tea which looks he same, taste the same and almost price the same at all Hk cafe.

Rice soaked in herbs! Quite tasty actually. Tasted kinda ...erm... should I say, tonic - like. But too salty! Beware of getting puffed cheeks due to water retention! $8.20!

Plain rice with fried lemon chicken popcorn and some vege. The bowl they gave so tall until the rice is less than half filled! Tasted rather ordinary. $7.30

Sweet and sour fish with rice. $7.30.

Peanut toast. Super ordinary so as to justified its cheap price. $2.50. Ya i know business is business but...

A Must Read for Dieters!

How to Lose Weight by Collins.

This books tells you all about the different diets that you had ever heard of. From GI, GL, Atkins to calorie counting, detox, high-fibre diet, low-fat diets to Mediterranean diet. It also includes exercises to boost your weight loss and how to go further and keep the weight off permanently.

This book briefly explains into the science of the different diets and about losing weight generally. Like I never knew that crash diets actually only produce a water loss and you will gain back all the weight once you eat back normal!

Read this book before you start any diets which you know nuts off but just wanna try it cos some people says it works. After reading this book, I realise that information is really the key to be more optimistic and clear about what's really happening and what other people are actually doing out there. For example, do you know that there are millions of people in America suffering from Binge Eating Disorder? It is a emotional eating problem that lead to yo-yo weight! Know this before it happens or even as it happens really enables one to look at the problem positively instead of emotional. Being emotional never solves a problem:)

To all the dieters out there like me, "Kampatei!"
