Hk cafe are sprouting everywhere.

If you realised, Hk cafe are sprouting everywhere in Singapore. Knock yourself on the head if u haven eaten at one yet...just joking but if u think u deserve it den just go ahead.

I realised one painfully common characteristics - the food they sell are really simple hawker fare mostly. But the price are erm, knida double the normal price. Like I can buy two plate of fried rice at Kopitiam for one plate at these cafes. But there are just so popular, like some kind of hungry people magnets. Why yy? Is it the atmosphere? Is it the novelty? Is it like bubble tea?

Wongkok Char Chan Teng at Bugis Junction. It was damn jam pack. Got to queue 5 mins! But is lunch time so understandable. This one considered cheaper than others le. So like one fried rice in kopitiam can buy one & a half plate here.
The milk tea which looks he same, taste the same and almost price the same at all Hk cafe.

Rice soaked in herbs! Quite tasty actually. Tasted kinda ...erm... should I say, tonic - like. But too salty! Beware of getting puffed cheeks due to water retention! $8.20!

Plain rice with fried lemon chicken popcorn and some vege. The bowl they gave so tall until the rice is less than half filled! Tasted rather ordinary. $7.30

Sweet and sour fish with rice. $7.30.

Peanut toast. Super ordinary so as to justified its cheap price. $2.50. Ya i know business is business but...
